Seminar Calender
Are you worried about what you don't know?

With the many dozens of different makes, models and styles of dust collectors in use in various industries, it’s very rare that anyone knows all there is about operating them when they get the job. Worse, most people have never been formally trained to operate and maintain dust collection equipment... they just get it tacked on as part of their duties at the plant.

Add to that the constant push to change the configuration of the plant for better performance, increased production, reduced energy costs and labour, or to meet tougher emissions regulations, and dust collector performance becomes even more important to the big picture of plant operations. It’s not just about nuisance dust control anymore – it’s about keeping your plant processes breathing right, so they can do the job.

TAPC offers Dust Collector Maintenance and Troubleshooting seminars to fill the gap left in both traditional maintenance training and formal engineering educations. These classes are based on over 15 years of experience working with dust collectors of every description, on every type of industrial process you can imagine.

Types of Seminars available

TAPC offers four types of Training Seminars, and one of them is bound to meet the needs of you or your staff to advance your understanding of how critical it is for the dust collector to be operating correctly.

Comprehensive Seminars
The 3-day Industry-specific Seminars held nearly a dozen times a year at BHA's Kansas City-based Corporate Headquarters are in-depth and the most complete available anywhere. These seminars focus on the dust collection requirements of a specific industry, such as Cement or Hot Mix Asphalt. The instruction is provided by experienced professionals who know that industry inside-out.

APCEMA Seminars
For those not able to get away to our full seminars, we regularly speak at the APCEMA (Air Pollution Control Equipment Manufacturers Association of Australia) General Seminars at major cities around the country, hosted in top-quality conference rooms centres, usually located close to airports for easy access.

Instruction is more generic in these shorter sessions, but covers a lot of information in a short period of time.

On-Site Seminars
Many companies want dust collector training for all their involved maintenance employees without sending the entire staff out. To meet that need we hold customized Onsite Seminars at your location. The course content is determined in advance through discussion of your equipment, production and collection issues, and what classes you believe would most benefit your employees.

Advanced ESP Control Seminar
Our advanced Electrostatic Precipitator Control User Seminars is held at the BHA Technology Centre in Newport News, VA.

Each seminar provides professional instruction and materials for the attendees, and the Control User seminar provides hands-on training on the state-of-the-art controls BHA developed and manufactures at our ISO 9002-certified Newport News facility. Attendees come away with a clear understanding of the principles of electrostatic precipitator operation from clearly illustrated presentations and handouts. The often bewildering complexities of ESP operation are examined in detail, and focus is provided on the interaction of components. Commonly occurring problems with specific OEM models are discussed, with ways to increase performance and uptime examined for these. Use of electrical lockouts and other safety measures are always a part of the discussions.
