Successful applications

Case History #1: Chemical Production Facility

Facility/Location: Chemical production in Wyoming
Equipment: 3-field ESP off a soda ash calciner
Installation Data: All three fields have been fitted with JuiceCans®.
Performance Data: The opacity has dropped from the high teens to single digits. The unit was stack tested recently and actually tested better than when it was brand new.
Customer comments: "These are the best investment we have ever made on our precips."

Case History #2: Power Industry

Facility/Location: Large power plant in the Midwest
Equipment: 5-field ESP off a coal-fired boiler
Installation Data: Three JuiceCans® are currently installed on the inlet second and middle fields.
Performance Data: This customer was skeptical of results that we showed him, and ran his own study over a six-month period doing a band statistical analysis.
Customer comments: He determined that the opacity had been reduced by 22%, and the only thing that he could attribute it to was the JuiceCan®.

Case History #3: WTE Facility

Facility/Location: Waste Incinerator Facility in Virginia
Equipment: 2-field ESP
Installation Data: A Juice Can® was installed during the development phases, and there was an immediate reduction in opacity. The plant manager told BHA engineers:
Customer comments: "I don't know what you are doing, but keep doing it."

Case History #4: Power Industry

Facility/Location: A California power producer
Equipment: 3-field precipitator off a multifuel boiler. A mix of refuse and grape vines, nut shells, and other matter is used as fuel.
Installation Data: A single JuiceCan® was installed in the inlet field.
Performance Data: Secondary voltage increased by 53%, the opacity dropped, and they immediately saw increases in the voltage of the 2nd and 3rd fields due to the inlet collecting more of the dust.

Case History #5: Paper Industry

Facility/Location: Paper Mill in Spain
Equipment: 2-field precipitator off a Recovery boiler.
Installation Data: JuiceCan’s® were installed on both fields.
Performance Data: Secondary Power levels increased. Opacity decreased 25%

Case History #6: Power Industry

Facility/Location: Power plant in the mid-west
Equipment: Inlet field of a 4 field ESP power boiler where field 1D is actually the inlet field and field 1A is the outlet field
Installation Data: A single JuiceCan® was installed in the inlet field.
Performance Data:

Secondary Voltage increased from 26.5 to 42.1 kV on field 1C.
Secondary Voltage actually decreased slightly from 45.0 kv to 40.8 kv on field 1B. (There may be a possible mechanical problem within this field)
Secondary Voltage increased from 25.0 to 40.9 kV on field 1A
