When an
insulator fails in a precipitator, there can be disastrous consequences.
Electrical fields can be shorted out, lower guide frames can
start swaying, discharge electrode rapping can be lost, or high
voltage conductors can contact ground. If a support insulator
fails, the high voltage frame in that field can fall. Time is
of the essence when an insulator needs to be replaced.
To serve our customers better, we have developed a stocking program
for the most commonly requested insulators. This means that you can
get an insulator from TAPC in days, rather than weeks, at very competitive

shaft insulators, and anti-sway blades and posts. These unglazed alumina
products offer superior tensile strength, dielectric strength, and
resistance to flashover and moisture absorption. We also supply glazed
