Wall mounted drive mechanism

The Flakt wall mounted high voltage rapper mechanism is driven by a gearmotor (P/N 11113) on the side wall of the ESP. The motor drives a stub shaft which is loosely coupled to the rapper insulator (11500-400-S). These are housed inside a short cylindrical enclosure which is generally insulated and heated. Dust accumulation in the enclosure is prevented by the conveyor screw which constantly drives any dust back into the inside of the precipitator while the shaft is turning.  The drive stub shaft is sealed to the casing using a stuffing box arrangement (older units) or a sealed bearing (newer units).  This assembly drives the main hammer shaft.
