Conical style support insulator
The high voltage system on a Flakt style precipitator is suspended from four points on the roof. Each of these suspension points is made up of an insulator (03105-00101-01 or similar) and a suspension rod (03106-00601-01) hanging from it's
top. There are two general styles of insulators in this area; conical and cylindrical. Conical insulators tend to be used in environments where the process dust has a high degree of
accumulation (e.g. salt cake recovery boilers). The cylindrical style insulators (11508) are found more in conventional dust environments like coal fired boilers or cement plants.
