Roof mounted drive mechanism
The Flakt roof mounted high voltage rapper mechanism is driven by a gearmotor (P/N 03103-03601-01) on the roof of the ESP.
The motor drives a shaft (03103-00301-01) and insulator (03105-00701-01) which are housed inside a housing on the roof. The turning force is then
transferred down into the ESP through by the main vertical rapper shaft (03103-00501-01) which is generally broken into two or three sections. This
shaft is kept in place by a series of guide bearings (03103-01701-01) located at the top of the field and just before the pin wheels. The
rapper shaft turns the small pin wheel (03103-01901-01) which in-turn turns the larger pin wheel (03103-02001-01) mounted on the
HV hammer shaft. The weight of the vertical rapper shaft is supported by the bearing plate (03103-01301-01), the bearing (03103-01801-01) and the support bracket (03103-01601-01).
