High Voltage Rapping System

Return to:
Flakt parts
Style:
Roof mounted HV rapping system
Wall mounted HV rapping system
HV Hammer shaft

The Flakt-style high voltage rapper mechanism is generally orientated in one of two arrangements as illustrated below. In both cases the the drive assembly is rotated by a small geared motor. The result of this is the rotation of the hammer shaft. The difference relates to the method of the delivery from the motor to the hammer shaft:

Arrangement 1:

Wall mounted drive assembly
In the first arrangement, the drive mechanism operates horizontally and is directly coupled to the hammer shaft. We refer to this as the "wall mounted drive assembly". If this is like your precipitator then click here for further details.

Arrangement 2:

Roof mounted drive assembly
In the second arrangement, the drive mechanism operates vertically and transfers its rotation to the hammer shaft via two cog wheels. We refer to this as the "roof mounted drive assembly". If this is like your precipitator then click here for further details.
