We standardise on the Castell trapped key safety interlocks in Australia. The range comprises the figure series, and the non-masterable Q series. The original Castell figure lock was designed in London by Harry Castell, who worked for British Thompson Houston, to control high voltage switchgear back in 1922, and it is still used worldwide for that purpose. The Q lock was introduced in the late 1950's to meet the Central Electricity Generating Board's requirements in the UK for a non-masterable lock.Contact us to determine your specific needs. |
