Visolite is the easiest and most economical way to find air leaks in your system. There are three basic steps to use Visolite.
(This example is for a typical pulse-jet baghouse. Visolite works in other types of baghouses as well. Contact your
TAPC representative for more information.)
Step 1.
Visolite is injected into the gas stream ahead of the baghouse.
IMPORTANT: After injection of the Visolite powder, the fan should be left on for approximately 45 seconds, but no longer than one minute.
Step 2.
Once Visolite is injected into the gas stream it naturally follows the path of least resistence through the baghouse. It will quickly find any holes or weak areas in filters (where the airflow is the greatest) and will flow inside the filter. Visolite will then collect at the tubesheet around
the filter opening to the clean air plenum.
Step 3.
When the baghouse is turned off, Visolite glows brightly under a monochromatic light, alerting you to the location of air leaks.
Using Visolite, you can minimize the time that maintenance personnel spend inside the baghouse. Plus, you can focus on the areas that need immediate attention. Take out the guess work about air leaks!
