EPA Testing proves BHA-TEX provides the lowest emissions
of any fabric!
The U.S.Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provided filter fabric
manufacturers the chance to test efficiency and pressure drop under the
Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program. Each manufucturer
was provided two opportunities for independent testing. BHA chose woven
fiberglass with BHA-TEX (QG061), and polyester felt with BHA-TEX (QP131)
for the testing.
BHA-TEX Fiberglass QG061 had the lowest emissions (PM 2.5) of any fabric
tested: 0.002 mg/Nm3
BHA-TEX Polyester QP131 had extremely low emissions (PM 2.5) as well: 0.038 mg/Nm3
The test method used for testing is the VDI 3926, Part 2
which has been
approved by the American Society of Testing & Materials and is now
known as "ASTM D6830".
BHA has the only fiberglass/ePTFE membrane fabric whose performance has been officially tested by the U.S. EPA ETV Program!

Test Conditions
Air-to-cloth ratio = 10.5:1 acfm/ft2
Loading = 9.6 grains/DCSF
