What is BHA-Tex
®?

BHA-TEX is an expanded microporous PTFE membrane that is bonded to the surface of conventional filter media, including felts and woven fabrics. This membrane provides high filtration efficiencies (99.99+%), superior dustcake release, and improved airflow at lower energy consumption levels.

Made from 100% DuPont PTFE Teflon® resin, BHA-TEX includes no additives or fillers. It is manufactured in our own climate-controlled, cleanroom environment, which allows us to create a membrane with exceptional lamination strength and controlled specifications.

BHA-TEX filter media is tested and inspected to assure our filter bags are the highest quality. Using computerized and automated equipment, we are able to control various manufacturing variables including pore size, pore size distribution, and membrane thickness-all of which have a tremendous impact on the effectiveness of the membrane. The physical characteristics of the membrane can be customized for optimal performance on a variety of base fabrics.

BHA-TEX is ideal for high moisture applications, and those needing extremely high collection efficiency or increased air volumes. It is designed to accommodate virtually any style of filter bag and can be used in pulse-jet, plenum pulse, reverse air, shaker, and cartridge dust collectors.

Filter bags manufactured with BHA-TEX® are available in a variety of base fabrics to meet your system’s specific requirements. While BHA-TEX ePTFE membrane can withstand temperatures over 500°F (260°C), careful selection of the base fabric must be made to ensure that it is compatible with the process environment. BHA-TEX can be laminated to the base fabrics.  See the table in the filter bags section for more details.
